Licensing and Permissions
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This page is for anyone who would like to use content from Aquatic Therapy University, the Aquatic Therapy Foundation or Find a Pool™. It explains who owns the content, what you may do without asking, what needs permission, and how to ask.
Who we are
ATU Educational Services, LLC (“ATU”) runs Aquatic Therapy University, an aquatic therapy education company in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Since 2009, ATU has trained therapists through live seminars, private training and on-demand courses.
What ATU owns
ATU Educational Services, LLC owns the content it creates, including its courses, course videos and handouts, the content on this website, and the educational content it licenses to the Aquatic Therapy Foundation.
What ATU licenses to the Aquatic Therapy Foundation
ATU licenses to the Aquatic Therapy Foundation, Inc. (“ATF”), a 501(c)(3) public charity, all text, images, video, data, designs and software that ATU creates for, or provides to, ATF, now or in the future, whether or not they are listed here. This includes, for example:
- the Aquatic Therapy Encyclopedia™, including its illustrations and video clips
- the Evidence Library (Aquatic Therapy Hot List™)
- Find a Pool™ (findapool.com) and its listings, maps and search
- Aquatic Therapy by the Map (the Map of the Day collection)
- the For Students, For Clinicians, For Researchers and For Participants guides
- the Salzman Matrix and the Salzman Aquatic Blanket Drills
- AquaCognition™
- Capstone and Reading a Study
ATF publishes this content for the public on aquatictherapyfoundation.org and findapool.com. The license runs one way, from ATU to ATF, and ATU keeps ownership of everything it licenses. Find a Pool™ and findapool.com remain ATU products that ATF runs under this license.
This license is non-exclusive: ATU may also use, license or sell the same content.
Read ATF’s Content License page for the public summary.
